Well an intersesting one it is for sure and one sure to go down in the history books for the bedfans creator Kurt Tompkin of Tomkins Research.
You may think since it is touted manly for menopausal women and those with the night sweats that that is why it was created. That is not so. We know hard to believe. Well here is the story as we know it.
The Story
The Bedfan ( not no bed pan as my inlaws like to call it ) is not this futuristic device or anything. Actually if you watch the video of it you will see it is pretty cut and dry in its simplistic design. So simple it brilliant. We think its the K.I.S.S ( Keep It Simple Stupid) principle. that it is founded upon.
Kurt is not some rocket scienctist or briain surgeon who designed this to help his mother in law. Yes we will get to that story later. Kurt actually lives in Texas and you know its dang hot there
Kurts Electic Bill Saga
Well with increased heat comes increased electric bills so and the cycle continues. Well Kurt is not a tiny man nor is he huge but he is a hot sleeper and needed help. Suffering from the night sweats and high bills he knew there had to be a better way.
The better way was the invention of the bedfan. Let me tell ya this did all the things that Kurt Tomkins wanted it to and then some. So after letting his mother in law who suffered from hot flashes due to menopause borrow it and see how much she loved it he knew he was on to something. Well needless to say he still does not have her bedfan back.
It looks like as of august 2007 Mr. Tomkins wife is due. Well we all know how hot you can get when you are pregnant and how pregnancy effects you overall. His wife is using his, their bedfan and actually does not mind the summer nights in TX when she sleeps because of it.
And this is her 2nd pregnancy to top it off. Good luck Shelly, And may all of your pregnancy night sweats begone!!
